Going to Mandello to visit the Moto Guzzi Factory?
Need a
place to stay that is reasonably priced and has great food? Looking for
friendly folks that speak several languages? By all means try the Al Verde Hotel
and Restaurant. You can ask most anyone in Mandello for directions.
It is tucked away in a beautiful, small hillside valley
above the town of Mandello de Lario. It is just a few minutes drive into the
hills just above the factory. If you have never been, it really is worth the
visit. Not staying over nite? You really should visit them for either lunch or
dinner. The kitchen is closed on Wednesdays. Please call for restaurant
reservations as they can be very busy.
It is a small family business, and is very warm, friendly
and casual. The DeMarcellis family: Mario, Mary, Nadia and Ricardo will be your
gracious hosts. You feel more like family than hotel guests.
We have stayed many times over the years and have never
been disappointed It is wise to call in advance as they only have 8
rooms.
